Mac Wireless Printing

Seattle Pacific University’s library provides wireless printing access for Windows and Mac computers. The following instructions show how to install the printers locally onto a Mac computer. When the user sends a print job, after the printer is installed, their computer username will show up on the appropriate PayStations in the library.

#1 Connect to wireless SSID, SPU Wireless. Make sure to sign in to your SPU account on a web browsers if needed

#2 Click the [Apple] logo at the top left of your desktop, then click [System Preferences...]

#3 Click on [Print & Scan] (OS versions prior to OS X Lion may say [Print & Fax])

#4 Click on the [+] sign on the left-hand side, then select [Add Other Printer or Scanner...]

#5 Select the [IP] tab and fill in the boxes as shown for the Black & White and/or the Color printer. Then, on the bottom right corner, click [Add]

#6 Duplex printing means the printer can automatically print double-sided. Enable this feature checking the [Duplex Printing Unit] box. Click [OK]

#7 The printer is now installed on the computer. Repeat the steps to install the other printer if desired

After sending print jobs to the printer, go to the nearest library GoPrint PayStation. There are two black & white printers on the Main Level, two black & white printers on the Lower Level, and one color printer on the Lower Level
