Sony Bloggie Touch Camera
The Tech Desk offers a video and still image capturing device, the Bloggie Touch. For detailed information on this camera please refer to the complete manual (http://www.docs.sony.com/release/MHSTSseries_handbook.pdf). For basic usage instructions, see below.
*Be careful to not cover up the microphone when recording. There is a yellow X near the microphone as a warning.
Sony also put together a nice guide for how to properly hold the camera without interfering with the microphone.
#1 Turn Bloggie on using the On/Off button on the right side of the camera.
#2 Notice, general settings can be found on the screen in the upper left corner. These can be left as is.
#3 Use the button in the upper right side of the screen to change the size of the photo or video if needed. The default is set to 8 megapixel for photos and 720p (at 60 frames per second) for videos
#4 Set the timer by touching the timer button on the bottom left of the screen. The time can be set to off, 2 seconds or 10 seconds.
#5 To capture video point and shoot by pressing the record button. Use the zoom feature on the screen to zoom in and out of the video you are recording.
#6 To take a picture, simply press the camera button on the side of the camera.
#7 To view images captured press the [playback] button on the lower right corner of the device. Once in the view setting, videos and pictures can be viewed, deleted and uploaded.
#8 To upload media onto a computer, engage the USB port on Bloggie by gently pressing on the silver USB drive located on the bottom of the device. Then plug Bloggie directly into the computer, or use the USB extender cable.
#9 Make sure Bloggie is [on] in order to access the media on the computer. Video files will be located under the MP_ROOT folder and pictures will be in the DCIM folder. *Note, the video files are in MP4 format.
